Personal Injury: I have been practicing personal injury law for an excess of 23 years. Have been successful in numerous jury trials, courtside trials and hundreds of arbitration hearings and have successfully argued cases at the State Appellate and Supreme Court levels. I have successfully litigated numerous automobile accident claims, bus accident claims, motor vehicle accident claims, dog bites, medical malpractice claims including nursing home malpractice, premises liability claims and construction accident claims. I have successfully litigated wrongful death claims, traumatic brain injury claims, loss of internal organ claims, spinal column injury claims, eye injury claims, loss of limbs and numerous others.
Workers' Compensation: I have been practicing workers' compensation law for an excess of 23 years. I have handled all types of complicated to simple claims including occupational diseases, repetitive trauma and blunt trauma injury claims. I have successfully conducted numerous formal hearings, successfully argues claims at the Appellate Court levels. I have handled in excess of a thousand claims involving almost any compensation issue imaginable. Have successfully litigated and settled dozens of workers' compensation claims well into the six figures.
Real Estate: As to my qualifications in real estate, I can only estimate that in one capacity or another, I have been involved in approximately 3,000 real estate deals over the past 10 years. I am presently on the approved attorney list for well over 40 lenders. In addition, I am an approved HUD commercial transaction closing attorney. Many of the loans which I have closed over the last several years were of the commercial nature and recently, I was involved in a major deal which consisted of a nursing home project receiving a $10.5 million dollar HUD guaranteed loan. The conditions of this particular mortgage required me to obtain such things as a letter of map revision from the Federal Emergency Management Agency in Washington. I was also required to prepare a title opinion and title policy and negotiate and prepare numerous easements of local municipalities and the State of Connecticut Department of Transportation.
